The Lisboa City Council, within the scope of its social, educational, and economic responsibilities and competencies, develops projects and promotes programs that foster literacy and empower citizens, with a special focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The SEED project is an innovative initiative that awakens and boosts the entrepreneurial spirit among students from 9th to 12th grade, preparing them for the future through the development of essential skills such as creativity, autonomy, and teamwork. By bringing schools closer to the professional world—especially in the technological and creative fields—SEED transforms ideas into value for the community, promoting a more practical education aligned with market demands.
The six key areas of SEED:
-
Living Lab – Support for developing an entrepreneurship lab in schools
-
Ecosystem Exploration – Organizing field trips to companies and inspiring spaces or bringing Lisboa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem into schools
-
Financial Literacy – Hands-on sessions to strengthen essential financial knowledge
-
Project Creation Support – Guidance and support for students to develop and implement their ideas
-
Self-Knowledge and Aspirations – Activities to explore students’ skills and interests
-
Training Experience – Immersion in the entrepreneurial ecosystem through practical experiences
These actions are carried out in cooperation with project partners, who contribute to creating dynamic activities inside and outside schools.
