The Lisboa City Council is pleased to announce the launch of the Special Expresso Dossier – Unicorn Factory Lisboa, a free special edition celebrating the Unicorn Factory Lisboa and the city of Lisboa, recognized as the 2023 European Capital of Innovation.
This exclusive edition focuses on technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, employability, and the economy, showcasing programs developed for both national and international startups and scaleups. With three main objectives—creating new businesses, attracting foreign investment, and fostering employability— the Unicorn Factory Lisboa has already established partnerships with over 100 global companies, including Google, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services.
Within the Special Expresso Dossier, you will find a detailed analysis of four thematic hubs: the Gaming Hub, Web3, GreenHub, and AI Hub, which give startups visibility before investors and major companies. In addition, the edition includes interviews with key figures such as Gil Azevedo, Executive Director of the Unicorn Factory Lisboa, and Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisboa.
We also highlight the 9 finalists of the Lisboa Innovation for All contest, which supports technology projects aimed at addressing social challenges in the city.
