Lisboa was distinguished in 2023 as the European Capital of Innovation. By right and merit, our city saw its strategy, ambition, and work in promoting and consolidating its entrepreneurship and innovation community recognized by community institutions. The celebration of this award is therefore the unavoidable theme of the 13th edition of Lisboa Unicorn Week.
Lisboa Innovation for All
The European recognition of Lisbon City Council’s work in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship has resulted in a prize that will be partially used to launch – through Unicorn Factory Lisboa – the Lisboa Innovation for All – 2024 Social Impact Challenge.
Let’s celebrate the community of experimentation and open innovation, of founders, coworking spaces, startups, scaleups, technological hubs, and sustainability.
Let’s celebrate the transformative entrepreneurship of society, both locally and globally. In the territory of Lisboa, new areas of economic activity linked to innovation such as Gaming, Web 3, or XR hubs are currently emerging organically, but also framed by the Lisboa City Council and the Unicorn Factory Lisboa. It is with everyone who is part of this sector that we will make Lisboa Unicorn Week 2024, from May 13 to 19, the best ever!

Lisboa City Council is pleased to announce the launch of a free special edition, in partnership with Time Out Lisboa, entitled “iLisboa – A city with scale”.
